About Me

Hi! I’m so glad you stopped by. 

I’m a simple gal from Weston, MO who grew up with a camera in her hands, who doesn't know a stranger, loves to travel, and create anything handmade. I was lucky to marry my best friend, Shane, and together we are living our dream on a "farm" in the beautiful town I grew up in with 3 active kids, 2 dogs, 2 cats and a coop full of chickens.

Angela Davis Photography began in 2007 after an “interesting” experience in a chain studio with my firstborn kid (a story for another time). After that, I submerged myself into photography determined to “never take my kid to a chain studio again” and came out on the other side with a career I love. In the beginning, I was afraid to call myself a professional photographer worried I would lose the magic of storytelling within the running of a small business. Boy, was I wrong. Since diving into being a small business owner, I have not only learned more about photography and what an incredible craft it is, but I’ve learned so much more about myself. My spontaneous and adventurous self thrives in the photography world. One minute I can follow a family to a creative location to capture their incredible story and the next I can pack up my kids and head to the ski slopes or book a last minute plane ticket. I love this gig and love the adventures and big moments I get to capture and preserve for others. The more places, experience and people I meet the more I am fulfilled.
